In Burundi, significant progress has been made in addressing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) through the continuation and organization of special court hearings dedicated to SGBV cases. This initiative, combined with raising awareness among magistrates on the prosecution of this crime, has enabled a faster handling of cases and contributed to the reduction in incidents.
